It seems, Eruch, liked this article so much that he brought it up–not once!–but twice! at Mandali Hall in Meherazad, praising Ward for it highly! According to a reliable source, “This was not at all his habit; with all the gazillions of songs and articles Ward had written…” The source further confirmed that, “…almost never did Eruch comment on anything Ward wrote; he would never give food for Ward’s ego.”

“Except for this one time! — for this One article!”

Pretty awesome sales pitch, eh?
(Thank you Ward for the extra intel.)
In an email to me about this article (“Spiritual Democracy”) Ward wrote:
“Yes, the notions about democracy that prevail in our culture today are exceedingly naive. I’ve been watching it for thirty years, and in my observation democracy and totalitarianism are separated by only a hair. ”
_
He then told me that the Lenin and Mao quotes that were used in Why did Baba say Democracy has to go illustrated exactly why this is. Here are those quotes:
_
_
“…just as socialism cannot be victorious unless it introduces complete democracy, so the proletariat will be unable to prepare for victory over the bourgeoisie unless it wages a many- sided, consistent and revolutionary struggle for democracy.” — Lenin
_
“Education in democracy must be carried on within the Party so that members can understand the meaning of democratic life, the meaning of the relationship between democracy and centralism, and the way in which democratic centralism should be put into practice.” — Mao Tse-tung

The fact that Eruch went out of his way to give this article great import, elated my heart. Thank you Ward for this most informative Essay.
Here is Ward’s mind, as a specimen for your examination. (In his own words)
